That, I think is the most important information. And when my feet hurt I am not a happy camper. Worldcon turns out to be lots like other cons: lots of panels with interesting subjects where participants just wander off to talk irrelevantly about irrelevancies. The one program number so far I have really enjoyed was a panel of Harry Potter -bashing. And that just because it was really catharctic.
And I have actually watched quite a lot of programming, hoping to hit the jackpot that justifies the format. So far, no go. So I am a bit grumpy and anti-connish at the moment. Okay, lot anti-connish. On the plus side, there have been few authors who have been articulate and interesting in panels so I would like to get (more) of their work. Of course, they are apparently obscure enough not to have their work prominently displayed in the hucksters room. So the only thing I have bought is a Diane Wynne Jones -book I did not have.
Jukka has been really enjoying himself, actually meeting new people and generally getting with the program admirably. At the moment he is still at the party hotel, while I am already back at the hotel blogging on this darned expensive connection.
