Two things:
Firstly concgratulations to Laajis and Aino and Sami for their Finlandia -junior nominations! We are more than chuffed that both Madonluvut and Tatu ja Patu Helsingissä made the cut for this prestigious children’s book award short-list.
Secondly, insert here the high-minded rant about how commercial christmas seems to begin earlier and earlier every year and then forget I said it. Because I forgive it all just because Fazer’s Christmas Chocolate is already available at our supermarket. It is the bestest chocolate ever; smooth milk chocolate with bits of almonds, raisins, gingersnaps, apple and cherry in it. It smells wonderful and tastes even better. I am going to hoard pounds and pounds of it shamelessly and ask Jukka to hide the cakes so I won’t eat all of it at once.
