Vaikka englantilaisesta jalkapallosta en paljoa perusta niin heidän kolumnisteilleen on syytä nostaa hattua, on vaikea kuvitella että tätä kielikuvaa voisi vielä pitemmälle venyttää:
"England didn’t just snatch defeat from the jaws of victory – they climbed down victory’s throat, reached down victory’s gut into victory’s colon, grabbed defeat by the reeking tail, hoiked it out and slapped each other gleefully in the face with it like a wet salmon."
